HEALTHY BENEFITS OF COCONUT OIL...Gain endurance, recover faster, and lose weight

The many benefits of coconut oil are well known but few people realize that coconut oil is also useful for weight loss and for improving athletic endurance and performance.

COCONUT OIL AND THE ATHLETE

Coconut oil is an amazingly versatile natural product that can benefit people in search of a better, healthier diet that will result in weight loss.

One of the main benefits of coconut oil is that it is very low in calories and has a unique chemical make-up that will turn it's fat into energy.

This makes it ideal for athletes who want to increase their energy and endurance and at the same time, lose unwanted weight. Coconut oil benefits are more likely to be much enhanced when a healthy diet using coconut oil and physical activity are combined.

Personally I was amazed when I added just five or six tablespoons of high quality coconut oil to my diet that I lost weight that I really thought I did not have to lose.

It seems to me that one of the main benefits of coconut oil is that it somehow speeds up body metabolism and this results in burning more fat.

So in other words, by adding coconut oil to one's diet on a regular basis you are "using fat to burn fat". Does it really get any better than that?

The "Lauric Acid" that is very rare and found only in "mother's milk" and coconut oil seems to have a lot to do with speeding up the metabolism and the fat burning process.

HAIR GROWTH AND MAINTENANCE BENEFITS

It's no mystery why so many Asian women have long, lustrous, glowing, healthy-looking hair. Much as their ancestors before them they use coconut oil in their hair on a regular basis.

Using coconut oil in the hair on a regular basis replaces lost oil, prevents dandruff, gives hair a beautiful shine, and even promotes hair growth.

Plus there is something special about using a product that is one hundred percent natural. It certainly provides a sense of well-being when you use "any" completely natural product like coconut oil to enhance the way you look and feel.

BENEFITS OF COCONUT OIL FOR THE SKIN

Consumers spend millions of dollars on skin products that will prevent dry, flaking skin, fight off wrinkles and help prevent skin from sagging.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with doing all one can to retain a youthful and healthy appearance, but why not do it with one of Mother Nature's natural products?

Daily use of coconut oil will do all that expensive, chemical-filled creams and lotions will do and more. There are no side-effects from using natural coconut oil and it contains no chemicals of any kind that are harmful to the skin.

This is one of the main reasons that coconut oil is found in sun-tan lotions, soaps, body lotions, and many skin creams. Even beauty and body-care manufacturer's realize the many valuable properties and benefits of coconut oil.

I have written three books that all serve a specific purpose when it comes to those new to the sport of triathlon or those who perhaps have the Ironman on their mind.

"Ironstruck...The Ironman Triathlon Journey" is a perfect book for those who have the Ironman on their mind and perhaps need some motivation, inspiration, and encouragement to help them make that final decision to challenge the Ironman and make it to the finish line.

"Ironstruck? 500 Ironman Triathlon Questions and Answers" is most like the only Q+A book in the world on the subject of triathlon in general and the Ironman.

This is the perfect book for the triathlete who has decided to take on the Ironman for the first time, or perhaps has done one or two and would like some insight from a different point of view.

It is a great companion book for "Ironstruck...The Ironman Journey" and the pair of books would make a great gift.

"Triathlete in Transition" is a book that was inspired by all the people who would stop by at my Ironstruck book signings and suggest I write a book for the very beginner triathlete who just wanted to know more about the sport.

I suppose because I had this passion for the Ironman that it seemed natural to write about it first almost six years ago now.

So in effect I have gone from the most difficult and challenging of triathlons and ended up at the beginning of the triathlon journey.

Triathlete in transition is full of information about how to get started in the sport and like my Ironstruck books, are inspirational and motivational as well as full of practical advice on triathlon that make the sport much more enjoyable.

Regardless, now I have three books that cover the full range of triathlon from just learning about triathlon in general, to ultimately reaching the Ironman finish line.
