IRONMAN HAWAII LOTTERY

Did you know that there is a Hawaii ironman lottery that will get you into kona. Just think, the Hawaii Ironman and you can be a part of it without having to qualify.

YES, YOU "CAN" GO TO KONA.

RESULTS ARE IN!

Are you one of the lucky ones? Here is the list of Ironman Hawaii 2011 lottery winners.

Most likely if you're visiting "Ironstruck" you are considering your first Ironman or else you are very early in your Ironman career.

If you are planning your first Ironman, there's no reason you should not take a shot at Hawaii.

Whatever location you choose for your first attempt, regardless if its South Africa, Florida, Canada or any other venue, the distance is still going to be the same.

So why not try for Hawaii? The first time you cross the Ironman finish line will be etched into your memory forever. It will be a moment that will most likely change your life in many different ways.

If you were to somehow manage to make that first race Kona, it would truly be magical.

I've heard it said and I believe it----that entry into the Hawaii Ironman is the most sought after of any sport anywhere in the world.

So, why don't you try for it...

You don't even have to qualify.

You just need some amazing luck, the finances, and the available time in Fall of 2011 to make the trip.

At this very moment you can enter the Hawaii Ironman lottery. Only about 1800 triathletes will take part in the race next year.

1600 of those will be qualifiers. 200 will be chosen by lottery. This was the wish of John Collins, one of the Ironman founders, who always wanted to leave room for the common(actually in my view, very special)"Ironstruck" of the world.

Of those 200, 150 from the U.S.A. will be drawn. 50 from the rest of the world will be drawn.

UPDATE...This is no longer the case and now everyone in the world who applies has a chance at one of the 200 spots.

Just go to your search engine and type in something like>>>"Hawaii Ironman 2011 lottery"<<< and you will easily find where to enter your name for the sports lottery of the year. I hope you all go for it.

I believe the drawing will take place in April 2011.

Good Luck if you enter the draw....

FIRST IRONMAN? MY IRONSTRUCK BOOKS HAVE HELPED MANY REACH THE IRONMAN FINISH LINE.

I have written three books that all serve a specific purpose when it comes to those new to the sport of triathlon or those who perhaps have the Ironman on their mind.

"Ironstruck...The Ironman Triathlon Journey" is a perfect book for those who have the Ironman on their mind and perhaps need some motivation, inspiration, and encouragement to help them make that final decision to challenge the Ironman and make it to the finish line.

"Ironstruck? 500 Ironman Triathlon Questions and Answers" is most like the only Q+A book in the world on the subject of triathlon in general and the Ironman.

This is the perfect book for the triathlete who has decided to take on the Ironman for the first time, or perhaps has done one or two and would like some insight from a different point of view.

It is a great companion book for "Ironstruck...The Ironman Journey" and the pair of books would make a great gift.
