I have written three books that all serve a specific purpose when it comes to those new to the sport of triathlon or those who perhaps have the Ironman on their mind.

Taking up the sport of triathlon back in 1983 was the best thing that ever happened to me. Once I crossed the finish line of my first Ironman in Kona, Hawaii in 1984 I knew my life had changed forever.

Over the years, no matter what was going on in my life, triathlon always gave me hope and gave me something positive to focus on.

I can truly say, the sport of triathlon has never let me down in the quarter of a century that it has been such a big part of my existence in one aspect or another.

To pass that information on to others I have written three triathlon books and created an Ironstruck bookstore.

Triathlon has been my friend, my teacher, and my escape when so much else in my life was trying to pull me down. It has done so much for me and many, many other people in the world who needed positive reinforcement to uplift them.

Often people need something almost "magical" to make them realize that they indeed are special and are capable of amazing accomplishments if only they give themselves a chance.

Building an Ironstruck bookstore was a no-brainer because it seems the perfect way to get the message out and motivate and inspire others.

I knew I had to give something back to the sport. I just "HAD TO" share with others, what triathlon had done for me.

I started by creating IRONSTRUCK.ca. I created this website as a means to share with others all that I have learned about this incredible sport over the years.

Now triathletes from over 80 countries around the world visit Ironstruck every single month.

Any many of the have discovered my Ironstruck bookstore and bought themselves a book that I'm positive will have a huge impact on their Ironman careers, regardless if it's one Ironman or dozens they take part in.

But still, I wanted to do more. I wanted Ironstruck to become something that people could somehow have close by in those times when they began to doubt themselves and their ability to take a journey they never, ever dreamed they were capable of.

I wanted there to be that special connection and intimacy that a computer screen simply can't provide.

I have written three books that all serve a specific purpose when it comes to those new to the sport of triathlon or those who perhaps have the Ironman on their mind.

"Ironstruck...The Ironman Triathlon Journey" is a perfect book for those who have the Ironman on their mind and perhaps need some motivation, inspiration, and encouragement to help them make that final decision to challenge the Ironman and make it to the finish line.

"Ironstruck? 500 Ironman Triathlon Questions and Answers" is most like the only Q+A book in the world on the subject of triathlon in general and the Ironman.

This is the perfect book for the triathlete who has decided to take on the Ironman for the first time, or perhaps has done one or two and would like some insight from a different point of view.

It is a great companion book for "Ironstruck...The Ironman Journey" and the pair of books would make a great gift.

"Triathlete in Transition" is a book that was inspired by all the people who would stop by at my Ironstruck book signings and suggest I write a book for the very beginner triathlete who just wanted to know more about the sport.

I suppose because I had this passion for the Ironman that it seemed natural to write about it first almost six years ago now.

So in effect I have gone from the most difficult and challenging of triathlons and ended up at the beginning of the triathlon journey.

Triathlete in transition is full of information about how to get started in the sport and like my Ironstruck books, are inspirational and motivational as well as full of practical advice on triathlon that make the sport much more enjoyable.

Regardless, now I have three books that cover the full range of triathlon from just learning about triathlon in general, to ultimately reaching the Ironman finish line.
